Are you an absent blogger? It’s time to start again.

It’s been absolutely ages since I sat down to write a blog. Between client work, teaching marketing, correcting assignments, March and half of April has just flown by. I haven’t had a chance to blog and every day, I kept saying to myself – ” I must write a blog, I must write a blog.’

A good few people have mailed me and pointed out my blogging absence. (Which is always good so thank you – you know who you are!). After comparing notes and lamenting my being an absent blogger, I’ve found that a lot of others go through a blogging drought as well. It’s often very hard to get back into it. But the difference between a great blogger and a good blogger is that you do come back to it. You don’t just leave it there and say that it’s too much hard work.

So if you’re an absent blogger today, I have two pieces of advice for you.

1. Just write
Write a little article even if it’s about what you did that morning. But just write. It doesn’t need to be long but it’s the start that you need.

2. Be inspired
A colleague Peter Donnelly of Mustang Leadership played this video last week and it had me all fired up. It’s an oldie but I think it will do the same for you. Sometimes you just need to up the ante.

So lets get going. Lets start blogging and advising the world again.
