What stops you from marketing your business?
It’s Monday morning and I was reading an email from a client yesterday. He hadn’t been doing much marketing and then he kept giving me excuses as to why not. I was reading it, thinking you don’t have to give excuses – just get to heart of the matter.
And in truth, something was stopping him from marketing. I spoke with him first thing this morning and basically, he didn’t believe in himself. He was holding himself back, thinking he wasn’t good enough compared with his competitors. I can relate to that so we’ve organised a marketing message session so he can go to market with a compelling message.
So I decided to pull together a little piece to see why small businesses aren’t marketing their business as regularly as they should. Some biz owners have just emailed me directly and if they do, I’ll add their answer. But feel free to add your comment down below.
What stops you from marketing?
- Belief in yourself
- No compelling, unique selling point to market
- Afraid to go up against the competition
- Afraid to show the competition what you’re offering incase they copied your ideas
