Well it wasn't the hottest weekend ever

So much for predictions! On Thursday, I sent a little note to my friends and colleagues on my ezine listings. I said it was predicted to be the hottest weekend of the year. Well, it didn’t quite work out like that (even if we did have the first BBQ of the year).
I also talked about creativity and taking a break. This is what I said:
“So for three or four days, go and enjoy yourself. Everyone needs a break.
Relax.
It’s my experience with working with many, many businesses that when a business owner has had some time off, their creativity soars.
Inspiration hits when you least expect it. You could be in the garden reading the paper, hear a song on the radio while driving or simply chatting with friends over a glass of wine or coffee.
The more relaxed you are, the better your creativity when you get back.
So if you’re feeling a little stressed about your sales pipeline or you think that your marketing isn’t doing all that it should be, then now is not the time to focus on the business. It’s time to relax.
Try it. I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

I got a realm of responses on Thursday and Friday but the best one I got was today.

Nice to hear

George O’Dowd of Globalnet Solutions mailed me:
Good advice.
I just read it after I got back, and you know what you are right.”
It’s always gratifying to get a response like that. I’ll be expecting good things from Globalnet’s marketing in the coming weeks.

Creativity begets creativity

As it’s May day weekend this weekend and that means another day off, follow the same advice. Take it easy and relax. You’ll be more creative for the month of May.
