Calling all SMEs located in County Louth and County Meath (Ireland)….
I saw this fantastic initiative and wanted to share it with all the businesses owners who are located in Co. Louth & Co. Meath.
Drogheda Chamber in association with Louth and Meath County Enterprise board, Enterprise Ireland & AIB are running a unique business pitching competition that will assist SME’s raise their profile and one lucky business will walk away with €5,000.
The event will take place on the 10th March 2011, where six businesses will be given 5 minutes to make a pitch on who they are and what they would do with €5,000.
A vote will take place to see who has the greatest vision, and the worthy winner will walk away with €5,000 for their ten minutes work.
Twist in the tale….
The twist is that the ultimate winner will be chosen, not by the Chamber or the different Enterprise Boards and sponsors, but by the businesses that enter. This makes it a competitive event. As entrants cannot vote for themselves, the trick will be to convince their peers that they deserve it more than anyone else.
All entrants will enter a 250 word piece and be shortlisted by Enterprise Ireland and Enterprise Boards mentors as well as a few local Dragons.
As an added prize, the winning company will also be given a speaker slot at the Drogheda Business Excellence Awards, a showcase to over 300 business leaders in the area in November.
